Serving Ventura
This one is home. We live and work in Ventura, and most of the businesses we see here are independents rather than chains: restaurants and bars, Main Street retail and local brands, the businesses around the harbor, and the trades and practices that serve all of them.
What they share is a calendar. Summer visitors and fair week carry a large share of the year, then January arrives and it is very quiet. Books that only show you last month tell you almost nothing useful in a town that runs on a season, which is why we report against the same month last year rather than just the one before it.
You will work with the two of us directly. No account manager, no call center, no offshore back office. And because we are local, sitting down over coffee is genuinely an option rather than a line on a website.

Learn moreThe work is the same everywhere. What changes is which problems come up first.
Daily sales reconciled from the point of sale rather than from the deposit, tips handled correctly, and food and labor cost tracked as a percentage of sales every month. Those two percentages are the whole business, and most owners only see them once a year.
Independent shops and small product companies, many of them now selling online as well as in store. Stock on the shelf reconciled to stock on the books, real cost of goods sold, and margin by product rather than one number for the whole store.
Charters, rentals, tours and the shops around them. Deposits taken months before the trip happens are not revenue yet, and treating them as though they are makes a strong spring look better than it is and the autumn look worse.
Owner-run businesses doing roughly $250K to $5M a year, with one to forty employees, who have outgrown doing it themselves.
If you are past that, we will tell you honestly rather than take the work and struggle.
Three steps, and the first two cost you nothing.
What you run, what software you are on, how far behind you are, and what is driving you crazy.
A flat monthly price in writing, plus a separate one-time cleanup fee if you need one.
We connect accounts, fix the chart of accounts, and set the close calendar. Then your first close.
Twenty minutes on the phone and you'll have a flat quote within a day.
